Rick Santorum Will Surprise at Iowa Caucus

Get ready! Here comes Rick Santorum’s closing kick in Iowa. Most pundits believe his best finish is third. My bet is second place for Santorum in the Iowa Caucus. Just as I called it in October 2011, he is the dark-horse in the race and he’s gone unnoticed until now.

“Rick Santorum, a relatively unknown and young horse to most betters but one who has built a solid race (political) history. Unlike the other contenders, he’s the only horse who has won the Pennsylvania race, a needed track victory for any winner. And, he is beginning to gain notice and track confidence with his bold challenges to the leaders “true” track (political) history. Keep an eye on Santorum, he just may be the dark-horse who goes mostly unnoticed by the experts, just like this years Belmont Stakes 24-1 winner, Ruler on Ice, who always finished in the money and who rides to victory with a solid closing kick.” (https://trialready.wordpress.com/2011/10/21/2012-us-republican-candidates-simply-a-horse-race/)

What’s changed? He’s now got cred. No longer the “joke candidate”.  He’s been endorsed by the Family Leader Organization, prominent conservatives, and is steadily gaining among born-agains and evangelicals. And, most telling, he’s been the target of attack ads.

His strategy is working. He’s run around the track, greeting Iowa voters, more than 99 times, more than any other candidate. He’s keep his head down, come from behind, and hasn’t sprinted too early like Bachman or Perry or stumbled on the track like Cain.

And, the Republican conservatives need a “true conservative”.

Santorum is definitely the horse to watch in Iowa.
